In today’s digital age, social media has become one of the most essential tools for establishing your brand and connecting with your audience. At KGMG Creative, we're excited to offer Social Media Workshops designed specifically for local businesses in the Macedon Ranges.


Our mission is to empower you to maximise the potential of your social media platforms without needing to outsource. Many businesses operate with limited marketing budgets, and our workshops are a great way to equip your team with the skills needed to effectively manage your social media in-house. We believe that everyone should have access to the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in the online space.


About The Workshops: 


KGMG Creative's Social Media Marketing Workshops run in partnership with the Macedon Ranges Further Education Centre (MRFEC) and are open to businesses across the Macedon Ranges and Central Victoria. They run across four sessions, each two hours long, and cover the full arc of social media management from content strategy through to analytics.


These workshops consistently sell out. Every term fills up, with a mix of new business owners, established operators wanting to sharpen their approach, and teams who want to get everyone on the same page.


They run in person at MRFEC in Gisborne, with online spots also available.


What you'll cover across the four sessions: 


Over four interactive sessions, we dive into fundamental tasks and strategies that we employ daily. Here’s a sneak peek at what each workshop covers:


•       Week 1: Content creation and strategy. How to build a content strategy that actually suits your business. Finding your brand voice. Building a marketing calendar. Understanding what makes content connect and what gets scrolled past -- and why those aren't always the posts with the most likes.

•       Week 2: Meta Business Suite and scheduling. A practical walkthrough of the tools that make consistent social media management possible. Scheduling posts, managing comments and direct messages, Instagram stories and highlights, and keeping everything organised without it taking over your week.

•       Week 3: Community engagement. How to engage with your audience in a way that builds genuine community and trust, not just a follower count. Scrolling with purpose, responding well and getting involved in conversations that matter to your region and your customers.

•       Week 4: Analytics and reporting. How to read your data properly, including understanding the reach and impressions that tell you about your silent audience, not just the engagement metrics. Track what matters, refine what isn't working, and build a strategy based on real outcomes.



Who runs them and why it matters:


KGMG Co-director Matt Griffiths has been managing social media for many regional businesses across the Macedon Ranges for years. The content in these workshops isn't drawn from a generic curriculum. It's drawn from what he and the KGMG Creative team do every single day for real clients in real regional businesses.


That means the examples are local. The platforms covered are the ones regional businesses actually use. The strategies taught are the ones that work in a community context. And the insight about silent following, about why your content is building leads even when the engagement looks quiet, comes from having watched it happen consistently for clients across the region.


Matt also manages Meta and Google Business Profile for KGMG Creative clients on a full service basis, which means what he teaches in the workshops is the same thinking he applies to paid client work every day. There's no gap between the theory in the room and the practice in the real world.
